🧘 About Pandit PN Rao Shastri — A Vedic Authority Built on 30 Years of Honesty

I am Pandit PN Rao Shastri. I have been practising classical Vedic astrology from my Jyothishyalayam in Kukatpally, Hyderabad since 1994. That is more than three decades of sitting across from real people — families in crisis, individuals at crossroads, young couples hoping for clarity before marriage, parents worried about their children — and trying to give each of them the most honest, most useful, most genuinely helpful reading that 30 years of study and practice can produce.

I trained in the classical Parashara Jyotish tradition — the most rigorous and respected lineage of Vedic astrology — under teachers who believed, as I do, that the purpose of astrology is not to impress clients with mystical pronouncements but to give them the clearest possible view of the karmic patterns affecting their lives so they can navigate those patterns with greater awareness and wisdom. This philosophy has not changed in 30 years, and I do not intend it to.

Over the course of my practice, I expanded my study to include Hasta Samudrika Shastra — classical Vedic palmistry — which I now combine with birth chart analysis to provide a multi-dimensional view of a client's destiny that neither method alone can match. I am also a certified Vastu Visharad, and I practise Vedic Numerology (Ankashastra) in combination with birth chart analysis for name correction and business naming consultations.

As a native Telugu astrologer, I conduct the majority of my consultations in Telugu — the language in which Telugu families think, feel, and make their most important decisions. For families across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and the global Telugu diaspora, this is not a minor point. The cultural nuances of a marriage decision, the family dynamics behind a career concern, the specific anxieties that accompany a health challenge — these are always best communicated and received in the language that carries the most meaning for you.

What I am most proud of, after 30 years, is not any single accurate prediction or any particular testimonial. It is the fact that I have never once used fear to extract money. I have never exaggerated a dosha. I have never recommended an expensive remedy that was not genuinely indicated by the chart. I have told clients things they did not want to hear — about incompatible horoscopes, about difficult periods ahead, about remedies that would not be quick — and I have delivered that difficult truth with the same care and respect that I give to the news they hoped to hear. That is the only way I know how to practice Jyotish. It is the only way I want to.
