Questions Families Ask — Honest Answers From Pandit Ji

These are the questions real families ask before booking a consultation. Honest answers — in the same spirit of transparency that defines every session at this Jyothishyalayam.

About Pandit Ji & the Jyothishyalayam

Pandit PN Rao Shastri is a Jyotish Acharya — a classical Vedic astrologer trained in the Parashara tradition — who has been practising from his Jyothishyalayam in Kukatpally, Hyderabad since 1994. He is also a certified Vastu Visharad, a Palmist practising Hasta Samudrika Shastra, and a Vedic Numerologist. What makes him genuinely different is his consistent, 30-year commitment to honesty over alarmism. He has never exaggerated a dosha, never used fear to justify an expensive remedy, and never given a vague reading that could apply to anyone. His 4.9/5 Google rating from 5,500+ verified clients reflects this integrity.

Pandit Ji is genuinely one of the most honest and trustworthy astrologers in Hyderabad. He has a 30-year reputation in Kukatpally and across Hyderabad specifically because he does not exploit clients. He tells you what the chart actually says — including when a feared dosha is cancelled or mild — and prescribes only remedies that are genuinely indicated. His 5,500+ verified Google reviews are the most credible testimony to his authenticity.

Yes. Telugu is Pandit Ji's primary consultation language. As a native Telugu astrologer, he conducts the majority of his sessions in Telugu — the language in which Telugu families think and feel most naturally about life's most sensitive decisions. Consultations in Hindi and English are equally available. For many Telugu families across Telangana and AP, the ability to discuss a marriage compatibility concern or a health worry in their mother tongue makes a significant difference to the quality of the conversation.

Yes. Pandit PN Rao Shastri is also one of Hyderabad's best palmists, practising classical Hasta Samudrika Shastra alongside Vedic birth chart analysis. He reads the hand's lines and mounts in combination with the Janampatri — and uses both systems to confirm and enrich each other. This multi-dimensional view of a client's destiny is rare and particularly valuable for understanding karmic patterns that appear in both the birth chart and the physical hand.

Call or WhatsApp 090004 83236. You can also fill in the contact form on the website. The Jyothishyalayam is open Monday to Saturday, 9AM to 8PM, and Sundays from 10AM to 6PM, at Brindavan Estates, Plot 55, Road No.5, Kukatpally, Hyderabad – 500085. Online consultations via phone or WhatsApp video are available for clients who cannot visit in person.

Yes — completely. Astrology is based on your birth chart, which is the same whether you are sitting in the Jyothishyalayam or speaking via WhatsApp from another city. Pandit Ji personally conducts every online session himself, shares his screen to walk through your chart, and gives the same unhurried, thorough analysis. Many clients find that consulting from their own home creates a more comfortable, private atmosphere for discussing sensitive matters.

For a full birth chart reading: your date of birth, exact time of birth, and place of birth. The more precise the birth time, the more accurate the Ascendant calculation. If you do not know your birth time, please mention this — Pandit Ji can use Prasna Jyotish for specific questions or attempt birth time rectification. For online Vastu consultation, clear photographs of your home from all four directions and a rough floor plan.

A comprehensive birth chart reading takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. Pandit Ji never rushes — he believes that every reading deserves the full attention of the client's specific chart. Annual horoscope consultations may take slightly longer. Prasna Jyotish consultations for a single urgent question are typically 30-45 minutes.

Yes. Telugu is Pandit Ji's primary consultation language. As a native Telugu astrologer with 30 years of practice, he explains every house, planetary placement, and dasha period in your mother tongue so that the cultural and personal context of your life is fully understood without any translation barriers.

Kundali & Marriage Matching

Pandit PN Rao Shastri provides comprehensive marriage matching and compatibility analysis at his Kukatpally Jyothishyalayam as well as online. His matching process goes beyond basic scoring to include Ashtakoota Guna Milan, Mangal Dosha analysis with proper cancellation rules, Navamsa compatibility, and Dasha Sandhi evaluation.

Yes. Many Telugu families living in Bangalore, Mumbai, the USA, UK, and the Gulf consult Pandit Ji online via WhatsApp video for marriage matching. Both horoscopes are analyzed side-by-side on screen, and the detailed compatibility assessment is explained in Telugu, ensuring complete peace of mind before finalizing a marriage alliance.

Please get an honest second opinion before worrying — or spending on remedies. In my 30 years of practice, the single most overused and misrepresented concept in Indian astrology is Mangal Dosha. Classical Vedic texts describe numerous conditions under which Mangal Dosha is cancelled. An experienced astrologer applies all these cancellations rigorously. In the majority of 'severe Mangal Dosha' cases I have reviewed, the dosha was either entirely cancelled, significantly mitigated, or far less severe than the initial assessment suggested.

Classically, 18 out of 36 Gunas is the minimum considered acceptable for marriage. 24-32 is good, and 32+ is excellent. However, Pandit Ji emphasises that the Guna score is only one component of a complete compatibility assessment. The 7th house, Venus, Navamsa compatibility, and Dasha timing matching are equally — sometimes more — important. He has guided couples with below-average Guna scores to happy marriages and has seen challenges arise in high-scoring matches when other factors were ignored.

An honest assessment of incompatibility is more valuable than false reassurance. If Pandit Ji identifies challenging compatibility factors, he explains exactly what they are, how significant they genuinely are, and what — if anything — can be done through appropriate and proportionate remedies. He does not refuse to discuss the situation or inflate its severity — he gives you the truth you need to make a wise decision.

Remedies & Fees

No. Pandit Ji prescribes proportionate, affordable remedies based on the actual chart indication — not on the anxiety level of the client or the potential for a large fee. Most effective remedies are free: a specific mantra chanted consistently, a fasting day, a small charitable act. When a puja is indicated, the cost covers only genuine materials and Pandit Ji's time. He never recommends expensive rituals that are not clearly indicated by the chart.

Please approach any such claim with significant caution. Legitimate classical Vedic astrology does not work through exploitative fear. Pandit Ji has seen many clients who were charged large sums for the 'removal' of doshas that either did not exist or were already cancelled. If you have received such a recommendation, a second opinion from an honest Jyotish practitioner like Pandit Ji is strongly advisable before spending anything.

Fees vary by service type and session length. Please call or WhatsApp 090004 83236 for current fee details. All fees are communicated transparently before the session begins — there are no hidden charges and no pressure to purchase additional services.
